On the second floor, next to the Francesco Spirito collection, two cabinets exhibit various specimens of domestic animals with congenital malformations: siamese twin calves and lambs, chicken feet with extra digits, “monstrous” foetuses of small animals. Such collections were in vogue in nineteenth century museums of natural history.
